INNER

Guide04

Before the

SESSION

We want your tattoo experience at INNER to be as pleasant as possible and the final result to be absolutely perfect. Here is an overview of how to best prepare for your session:

01

Skin & Hydration

Moisturizing: For the best possible result, we recommend moisturizing the area to be tattooed daily with a cream for a few days before your session. Healthy and hydrated skin takes the ink much better and heals more smoothly.

Stay Hydrated: Don't forget to drink plenty of water as well – hydrated skin starts from within with a proper drinking regime.

Sun & Tanning: Avoid intense sun exposure before your session. Sunburnt or peeling skin cannot be tattooed!

02

Day Before & Day of the Session

Alcohol & Other Substances: Avoid alcohol and any other intoxicating substances the day before and on the day of your appointment. We also recommend skipping coffee or energy drinks on the day of your session. Alcohol and caffeine increase blood pressure, thin the blood, and can cause more bleeding, which makes the tattoo artist's work more difficult and slows down the healing process.

Painkillers: Do not take painkillers like Ibuprofen or Aspirin before your session (they also thin the blood).

Sleep & Food: Get a good night's sleep before your appointment and make sure to eat a proper meal before you arrive. Your body will need energy to handle the endorphin rush. We always have snacks and drinks ready for you at the studio, so you don't have to worry about getting hungry.

03

What to Wear

Comfort First: Dress in loose and comfortable clothing. You can easily change your clothes at the studio if needed. The tattoo artist needs easy access to the specific area.

What to Avoid: Avoid bodysuits, tight clothing, and long sleeves or pants (if those are the areas being tattooed) so that your clothes don't press against the fresh tattoo and the protective film after the session.

Colors for Photos: We recommend choosing neutral colors (black, white, grey, or earth tones) – tattoos are photographed after completion, and neutral outfits look best in pictures. Also, keep in mind that clothes can accidentally get stained with ink.

Health & Medical Conditions (Contraindications)

Your safety is our top priority. Please inform your tattoo artist in advance if you have any medical conditions, such as:

  • Diabetes, epilepsy, or blood clotting disorders.
  • Skin conditions (eczema, psoriasis, or moles in the area to be tattooed).
  • Acute cold, viral infection, weakened immune system, or if you are taking antibiotics.
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding.
  • If you experience anxiety, fear, or simply don't feel 100% mentally ready, please let us know. We will do our best to make you feel safe and completely at ease.

Guests & Studio Atmosphere

There are 4 tattoo artists working in our studio at the same time. To ensure maximum privacy, peace, and comfort for all clients, only 1 guest is allowed as a companion, and only by prior arrangement with your specific tattoo artist.

If you have any questions or doubts before your appointment, don't hesitate to contact us. We are happy to explain everything!
